The first thing that would cross my mind if someone asked me "what are the two ingredients that always match" would be - potato meat.

There are many ways in which the two can be put together, but I decided to make a pie with meat and potatoes, for which I needed: 500 gr minced lamb / beef, a red onion, 2 carrots medium, hot peppers (to taste), 60 gr. tomato paste, 100 ml red wine, 2 tablespoons Worchester sauce, 500 ml soup / water, 1 kg potatoes, 80 g butter, 100 ml milk (or as much as puree requires), 1 egg yolk, salt, pepper.

From the boiled potatoes I made a puree, adding butter, milk, salt and a raw egg yolk.

In a pan I hardened the onion well with the hot pepper, over it I put the diced carrots,

and when they were soaked I put the minced meat, which I left until it began to brown.

I added the tomato paste, wine, worchester sauce and soup (or water, if you don't have soup) and let it boil for 30 minutes, until the sauce dropped and there was very little left.

I put everything in an oven dish, placing the meat composition at the base and on top I carefully put the puree, so as not to mix it with the meat. I put it in the oven set at 200 degrees, the Grill module, for 20 minutes, until it browned well on top (if you hurry, you can use a kitchen torch, especially since the puree is already cooked).

The preparation is an excellent way to change the routine of steak with potatoes, especially for those who like this combination as much as I do. Also, the meat comes out very flavorful, the red wine and tomato paste giving it a sweet note that goes perfectly with the puree.

  1. Boil the potatoes in their skins, drain the water and peel, then crush until you get a puree that is salty to taste.
  2. Chop the onion, bell pepper, carrot and garlic, put them in a saucepan on the fire together with the olive oil and bay leaves and leave for about 5 minutes, until slightly softened.
  3. Add the sliced ​​mushrooms and leave on the fire for another 2-3 minutes, then add the tomato juice and simmer for another 10 minutes on low heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In a yena bowl previously greased with oil, put the first layer of half of the mashed potatoes, then the mixture of vegetables and sliced ​​olives, over which the rest of the puree is placed.
  5. Sprinkle the crushed walnuts and place the dish in the oven at 180 ° C and leave until the puree turns a copper-yellow color.

A few nights ago, a nice mother was asking me for the recipe for the meat pie, which I had posted earlier, on the self-diversification group. The moment that refreshed my memory, I didn't make this pie for a long time, even though the girls were crazy about it. So, last night, after work and after he took Bocănilă, he took the piece of tea and I got to work. It is made very quickly and easily, and I'm not talking about taste anymore.

  • 250 gr flour
  • 100 ml milk / warm water
  • 85 ml oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Put them all together, the result is a fluffy, non-sticky dough. If it is sticky add 1-2 tablespoons of flour, but no more.

  • 500 gr minced meat
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • Ground pepper
  • 50 gr cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon semolina / breadcrumbs
  • 2 cubes of bone broth (I frozen in ice packs)

The minced meat, together with the finely chopped onion and the soup cubes, are put in a pan, over low heat until it changes color and the liquid evaporates, then it is left to cool while we prepare the dough. Beat the 2 eggs well with the cream, stop 2 tablespoons for greasing on top, and put the rest over the meat, when it has cooled. Season to taste, I just add pepper to this miracle.

The dough is divided in two, two circles are stretched, to which we give the shape of the tray (I made rounds). I put the first sheet of dough, the spoon of breadcrumbs / semolina then the meat, and at the end again the dough. Grease with the rest of the beaten egg with cream, sprinkle with sesame seeds, then in the oven at 200, about 30 minutes (turns golden).

Very easy pie made with few ingredients

Filling

Boil the potatoes, as for mashed potatoes. After boiling, crush and add a tablespoon of butter. Mix well and then leave to cool.

When the potatoes have cooled, add the 2 eggs and the 2 tablespoons of flour. Mix well and cook the filling.


Potato pie, leek and feta cheese

Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes and boil them in water with a little salt.

After boiling, the potatoes are drained of the juice in which they were boiled.


The leeks are washed, cut into thin slices and hardened in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Boiled and drained potatoes are added over the stewed leeks.

Add the cream and mix well.

Remove the pan from the heat and add the diced feta cheese and eggs.

Mix the composition well, adding pepper and salt, if necessary.

The puff pastry is spread in a tray lined with baking paper and put in the preheated oven at 220 degrees for 15 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven, add the cheese composition and bake for another 20 minutes at 220 degrees.
