Here that I made homemade meringues for the first time. I can say that they turned out delicious, although unfortunately my oven is not made at all to bake meringues. Even so, they were very successful among friends: D

  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • a pinch of salt

Servings: 12

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Twisted and colored meringues:

Beat the egg whites well together with the sugar using a mixer. Add the sugar gradually while you beat the egg whites. It is just as important to add a little vinegar or lemon juice, because the acidity helps the egg whites stay creamy and not separate while you mix them. You stop mixing when the egg whites become a hard and shiny foam.

Divide the egg whites into several bowls and color them to your liking. I wanted to make them multicolored so using a toothpick I colored the inside of the bag as you can see in the picture.

Using a pos and a round end, place them on the tray and put them in the oven. I also decorated them with some candies, to make them nicer :) The ideal would be a temperature of 110 degrees. Keep them until they harden and dry well
