The Gnocchi Alla Bava they are a first course linked to the Aosta Valley culinary tradition. Although the name "slime"may seem uninviting, the flavor of this recipe is really amazing! To try your hand at making the dish like me, start by preparing the basic ingredient: gnocchi. You can make them in the most classic way, buy them or think of preparing them in a quick, or following the recipe Thermomix potato gnocchi. Then you simply make a cream cheese by combining the milk with the cream and fontina, to form the cream that will wrap the dish. A sprinkling of nutmeg ... et voilà, everyone at the table!
How to make gnocchi alla bava
Cut the cheese into chunks.
Transfer it to a saucepan with milk, cream and nutmeg, then melt everything over low heat.
Separately, cook the gnocchi in boiling salted water, then lift them with a slotted spoon as soon as they rise to the surface.
Now transfer them to the saucepan with the cream cheese and let them flavor for 1 minute, stirring gently.
Wait a couple of minutes, then bring your gnocchi alla bava with more nutmeg to the table.
